'Filling the world with impossible light, improbable hope'
May the week have hope tucked into it <3

Reading corner
What else
by Carolyn Locke
The way the trees empty themselves of leaves,
let drop their ponderous fruit,
the way the turtle abandons the sun-warmed log,
the way even the late-blooming aster
succumbs to the power of frost—
this is not a new story.
Still, on this morning, the hollowness
of the season startles, filling
the rooms of your house, filling the world
with impossible light, improbable hope.
And so, what else can you do
but let yourself be broken
and emptied? What else is there
but waiting in the autumn sun?

Healing notes
What gives me hope in times of endless, repeated bad news? Both personal and across the world? This was a question I asked myself last week. The answers were numerous and some even worth sharing.
The beautiful flowers that bloom in my tiny garden.
The mystery of the plant in it.
The birds that show up to the window each day.
The chattering cat attracting the bird.
The words of a loved one.
The kindness I receive and give.
These are just a few of the things that help. Does it make the world and my own predicament suddenly less remorseful? No. It just means I have a breath of hope to help endure more of the difficult stuff.
What else can we do?
What else do we do?

Food experiments
I love cooking vegetable pasta but I am usually conservative with the kinds of vegetables I use in it. This time it was a empty the fridge pasta and it was sooo good.
Vegetable pasta
Gluten free pasta
Lactose free milk
Two tablespoons of flour (any)
Veggies: Carrots
Beans
Capsicum
Cheese (I used feta)
Salt
Pepper
Mirchi powder
Boil water. Add one tablespoon oil and salt. Add the pasta. Drain and keep aside.
Cook the veggies first by themselves with a bit of salt and pepper.
Beat the milk and flour together. Add salt, pepper and mirchi powder.
Add it to the cooking vegetables. Once fully done, add the pasta. Serve with cheese on top.
YUM!
Dear you,
I hope you have a book you might want to read near you today. <3
Love, kindness and warmth,
